Hondengedrag
Honden bevinden zich graag in gezeldschap, het zijn groepsdieren. Alleen zijn is dan ook een onnatuurlijke situatie, sommige honden hebben daar dan moeite mee.
Dit kan zich uiten in probleemgedrag zoals blaffen, onzindelijk gedrag, huilen, spullen en/of zichzelf stuk bijten, en neurotisch gedrag. De verveling is toegeslagen. Ook tijdens de ''pubertijd'' kan zich dat meer gaan uiten.
Honden hebben afleiding nodig en een uitlaatklep voor hun energie, ook de sociale omgang en het spel met andere honden is belangrijk. Tijdens het uitlaten ontstaat er een roedelgevoel onder de honden, daardoor blijven de honden bijeen en houden ze elkaar in de gaten.
Dog behavior
Dogs like to be in company, they are group animals. Being alone is therefore an unnatural situation, some dogs then have difficulty with that. Maar voor alle honden geldt dat zij regelmatig moeten worden uitgelaten, gekoppeld aan een wandeling elke keer. Houdt de regelmaat erin, dan blijft de hond gezond. Exercise
How much exercise a dog needs daily depends on the breed it belongs to, its age, and its condition. Westies, for example, love a long walk, but a chihuahua is happy with a short trip outside.
